Vadodara railway station has launched Gujarat’s first 24x7 digital railway lounge, marking a major step in Indian Railways’ infrastructure upgrade. The airport-style facility offers high-speed Wi-Fi, workstations, conference rooms, resting pods, modern washrooms, and cashless services. Developed under a public-private partnership, the lounge supports Indian Railways’ non-fare revenue strategy while improving passenger comfort. Officials have prioritised safety with CCTV surveillance and controlled access, along with flexible pay-per-use plans. The launch strengthens Vadodara’s position as a key transit hub as Railways push modern, tech-enabled station upgrades across India.
