Big jump in 19-kg LPG price; Delhi rate now at Rs 3,071.50; no change in domestic cylinder rates

The 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder's price has been hiked by Rs 993 with effect from May 1. After the hike, a 19-kg cylinder will cost Rs 3,071.50 in Delhi. Prices of domestic cylinders have not been raised, news agency ANI reported. Before the US-Israel strikes on Iran on February 28 and Tehran's retaliation, more than half of India's crude imports, about 30 per cent of gas and 85-90 per cent of LPG imports came from West Asian countries, such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
