Overview

#Terms of Use

These terms govern your access to curl.md, including the website, dashboard, API, CLI, SDK, plugins, docs, prepaid credits, and related services.

#1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between you and weth, LLC, which operates curl.md (“weth, LLC,” “curl.md,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), regarding your access to and use of the Services.

The Services include the hosted website at curl.md, authenticated dashboards, the API, CLI, SDK, plugins, docs, prepaid credits, related software, and any other pages, tools, or services that refer to these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised terms.

#2. Our services

curl.md helps users, scripts, and agents turn web content into markdown and related structured output. Features may include URL fetching, markdown conversion, hosted access, CLI workflows, plugins, integrations, and usage-based billing.

The Services may rely on third-party infrastructure and third-party content. We do not control the availability, legality, or accuracy of third-party websites or the content you choose to fetch through curl.md.

Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, the Services are not designed for use cases that require industry-specific compliance commitments, including HIPAA, GLBA, or similar regulated workloads.

#3. Accounts and access

Some parts of the Services require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly at dev@curl.md.

You may use the Services only if you can form a binding contract and, if you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you have authority to bind that organization to these terms. The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old.

#4. Billing, credits, and payments

Some features require paid access. Unless we expressly say otherwise, curl.md uses a prepaid credit model rather than a recurring subscription.

You authorize us and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method for purchases you make through the Services. Payment processing may be handled by third parties such as Stripe, and your use of those payment flows may also be subject to their terms and policies.

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. We may change pricing at any time on a prospective basis. Prepaid credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and are not refundable except where required by law or where we expressly say otherwise.

We may refuse, limit, or cancel any purchase where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, unauthorized payment activity, or violations of these terms.

#5. Acceptable use

curl.md is built for human, scripted, and agent-driven use. Automated use is allowed when it goes through the documented product surfaces and complies with your authentication, plan, and rate limits.

You agree not to:

  • use the Services in violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
  • bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, usage caps, rate limits, credits, billing controls, or security protections
  • interfere with or disrupt the Services, including introducing malware, abusive traffic, credential attacks, or denial-of-service behavior
  • use the Services to store, transmit, or process unlawful, infringing, or harmful material
  • impersonate another person or entity, or provide false account, payment, or usage information
  • resell, mirror, or white-label the hosted Services without our prior written permission
  • scrape, benchmark, or reverse engineer the hosted Service in a way intended to copy or compete with the service itself, except to the extent that a separate open-source license expressly allows it
  • use curl.md to access or process third-party content where you do not have the right to do so

#6. Third-party content and websites

The Services may fetch, link to, or surface content from third-party websites, applications, and services. That content belongs to its respective owners and may be subject to separate terms, licenses, and restrictions.

You are responsible for making sure your use of third-party content through curl.md is lawful and permitted. We do not endorse third-party content and are not responsible for its accuracy, availability, legality, or usefulness.

#7. Intellectual property and open source

Except for content owned by third parties and materials published under separate licenses, we or our licensors own the Services, including the hosted product, branding, trademarks, service marks, site design, and related proprietary materials.

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Services for your internal personal or business use.

curl.md also includes open-source components, and some source code is published publicly, including under the MIT License. Those materials are governed by their applicable open-source licenses rather than by any more restrictive language in these terms.

#8. Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or other submissions about the Services, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable, transferable, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, publish, and otherwise exploit that feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.

#9. Service availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, including features, limits, pricing, supported integrations, or availability.

We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Maintenance, infrastructure failures, third-party outages, and abuse prevention measures may cause interruptions or degraded performance.

#10. Term and termination

These terms remain in effect while you use the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms, created risk for the Services or other users, engaged in fraud or abuse, or if we are required to do so by law.

#11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not guarantee that output generated or returned by the Services will be accurate, complete, available, properly formatted, or suitable for any particular use case. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.

#12. Limitations of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Services during the one-month period before the event giving rise to the claim.

#13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless curl.md and its affiliates, officers, team members, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

#14. Data and privacy

We may collect and process account information, payment-related information, authentication information, usage records, request metadata, and other operational data needed to provide, secure, bill, and improve the Services.

Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, as well as the terms of any third-party services you choose to use with curl.md.

Although we take reasonable steps to operate the Services responsibly, you agree that we are not liable for loss or corruption of data, and you are responsible for keeping any copies or records you need.

#15. Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute, claim, or complaint relating to the Services, contact us at dev@curl.md first. Both sides agree to try to resolve the dispute informally before starting a formal legal proceeding.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue any remedy available under applicable law in a court of competent jurisdiction, unless another dispute process is required by applicable law.

#16. Miscellaneous

These terms, together with any policies or rules we publish that expressly apply to the Services, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision. We may assign these terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

#17. Contact us

For questions about these terms or the Services, contact dev@curl.md.
